Submission Preparation Checklist 

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • A separate file with a short note about the author (up to 500 characters with spaces) - affiliation, ORCID number, e-mail address
  • A separate file with the author's photo (minimum 130 KB)
  • The text meets the criteria of reliability, ethicality and suitability for science, in accordance with the COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

 

Information for the authors

When drafting the manuscript following rules have to be complied with.

Forum Prawnicze publishes following categories of texts:

  • Article – the main body of the manuscript should not be longer than 70 000 characters including footnotes and space characters;
  • Review – reviewed publications should be published during the last year period (in case of polish publications) or two years period (in case of foreign publications) counting from the date of submitting the manuscript, reviews should not be longer than 40 000 characters including footnotes and space characters;
  • Glosses – rulings being the focus of the gloss should have a substantial influence on the case law and should develop or change it in a significant way; alternatively rulings addressed should refer to the entirely new cases; gloss should not be longer than 30 000 characters including footnotes and space characters;

Manuscripts have to be submitted through the on-line submission system. During the submission process the authors will be asked to create their own author’s profile. Should the author already possess their own profile created during the earlier submission, they will be asked to provide up-to-date information.

The submission should include:

  • The version of the manuscript devoid of any information (including metadata) that could potentially allow to identify the author during the peer-review process; the manuscript has to be submitted in docx format;
  • The docx file containing author’s personal data: short biographical note (not longer than 500 characters including space characters), affiliation, ORCID number (https://orcid.org), official e-mail address.;
  • The docx file with additional informations such as: title in English; abstract in English (not longer than 1200 characters including space characters), key words in both Polish and English (in case of publications in Polish) or only in English (in case of publications in English), bibliography compliant with the rules for the authors, propositions of 3-5 excerpts from the manuscript to be highlighted (not longer than 200 characters including space characters);
  • Author’s image in good quality and resolutions (min. 130 kB).

The journal is published under Creative Commons license – Recognition of authorship – Non-commercial use – No derivative works 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/deed.pl and in compliance with the Open Access policy.

 

Data policy and evaluation criteria

Under Art. 29 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119/1), author consents and authorizes the editorial team of Forum Prawnicze to process personal data contained in:

– editorial documentation and book

– reviewer documentation and book.

The authorization includes the right to process data in the scope determined by the Forum Prawnicze publishing procedure.

In the process of peer-review of the article, the following factors are taken into account:

  • originality and timeliness of the problem;
  • the quality of analysis and arguments;
  • methodical assumptions of the article;
  • text structure and title adequacy;
  • scope and quality of solutions to the problem;
  • applicability;
  • linguistic quality.

W latach 2022-2024 czasopismo Forum Prawnicze finansowane jest w ramach projektu Rozwój czasopism naukowych ze środków Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki na podstawie umowy nr RCN/SN/0611/2021/1. Łączna kwota wsparcia ze środków Ministerialnych wynosi 28 000 PLN. Celem pozyskania Funduszy przez Forum Prawnicze jest podniesienie poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenie wpływu czasopisma na rozwój nauki oraz utrzymania się czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym.
